I was just listening to the 2004 St Louis show today, and Warren really makes the Eyes of the World and New Potato. Yes, I cannot undertand how so many people don't like his playing. He has such a unique tone, with that whole "whirlly sound" thing he has that makes his guitar almost sound like an old Hammond organ (I'm not technically inclined, obviously). "The quintet" was one of, if not THE, best bands I have ever seen. I hope they reconvene again eventually sometime.

I wasn't at that particular show but have seen Phil and the boys many times. You are correct sir....Haynes, rocks....Herring soars....Molo rumbles....Barraco wails....and Phil is flawless. The best quintet in rock and roll history.
